Each year I begin my eighth grade math class with a study of hurricanes. This became study of reality in 2004 with back to
back hurricanes hitting our town and creating two “Hundred Year” floods within the period of ten days. Hurricanes
Frances and Ivan flooded our town, part of our school, and devastated our county with much of that devastation still visible
today....

I began with the idea that I wanted to create a video that enticed its viewers to be a part of a future Virtual Field Trip
staff development session. I wanted to begin with some catchy phrases, some pictures to capture their attention that also
went along with the audio, and finally a video presentation of a website that was part of the virtual fieldtrip presentation....
